He won rounds 1-3.

And all the crying, "intellectualizing" and "strike stats" aren't going to change that fact.

All you need to do to win a Championship decision is win 3 rounds.

And Machida did.

Hence he is still the Champion.

Yeah, it's extremely perplexing and laughable to claim a fighter won a fight, yet at the same time he didn't win the fight enough to actually win the fight, and this is what excuse makers who play the entire spiel of having to "beat" the champion in order to become the champion have been playing.

this guys just throwing whatever he can at u while gaggin on nuts and pee. it's really not worth arguing with someone who isn't trying to validate anything other then machida is a god and he worships him. and all fighters are less then him so they have to be more then just better then machida.

Yeah then we coulda compared which was worse: Machida getting choked out by Tito or Shogun tapping to Forrest with 15 seconds left in the fight! Oh wait... Machida got out of the triangle and went on to win 30-27 on all judges scorecards! No comparison there!

If you want to compare something, try this: which of Shogun's three previous losses was the worst: tappng to Forrest with 15 seconds left? Being armbarred by Babalu? Or crying like a girl when Old Man Coleman broke his arm?

Hah!

A win is a win. As a big shogun fact I have come to terms with that.

Why are people still arguing about Machida Vs Shogun I? The rematch is coming up soon.

shogun might not have won by much if he even did which a draw woulda been reasonable and still in favor of machida keeping the belt.. however, most people can't find a reason that clearly shows machida winning. no more then it showing shogun won atleast. a draw would be reasonable, or split dec for shogun. whats done is done and shogun proved he can hang and beat machida on the right day. And mma goes on.. only wish tito held onto that triangle instead of trying to switch to an armbar cause he had it dude. and it was tight.. tito coulda stayed relevent:p
i really think this whole machida/shogun thing has gone overboard, so i wont comment on that. do you train jj? titos triangle wasnt really all that close. seriously watch the fight, look at machidas shoulder. its out before tito gets to sink it in. yea, it looked close, but really, there was nothing for tito to hold on to. yea.
