Currently WEC 34 'FABER v. PULVER' is scheduled for a two hour live broadcast slot, with only 4 fights being on the main live card. Like UFN13, this is a stacked card with tons of contenders and would be amazing for a 3 hour event, which was granted to UFN 13 after a massive sherdog email campaign.

I propose we do the same for WEC34.

I would like to see the WEC 34 mixed martial arts event be given a 3 hour timeslot for its live broadcast on June the 1st. This will be the best MMA show to ever be on Versus, and the hundreds of thousands of fans who will tune in would love to see an increased commitment from Versus for this historic event. I appreciate you considering my request, on behalf of MMA fans across the country.

Please turn the WEC 34 event you are scheduled to broadcast 6/1/08 into a three hour show, as opposed to a 2 hour show. There are so many fans of the WEC and mixed martial arts who want to see the many quality fights that this event's card has to offer.

I enjoy Versus as a station primarily because you broadcast a lot of great mixed martial arts events, particularly the WEC events and the "Tapout" reality show. Your station will be doing a live broadcast of WEC 34 "Faber vs. Pulver" on June 1st and I am writing to show my support for this event and requesting that you give it a 3 hour broadcast slot instead of the two hours you are scheduled to air. This is an amazing event, possibly the best in the history of the WEC, and is sure to have almost a dozen highly competitive matches.
I, and other fans of mixed martial arts are hoping that Versus can show its support of this exciting sport by providing an additional hour of live broadcast. It would definitely draw in many viewers and demonstrate the commitment Versus has for showing the best sports programming on any cable station.

I am writing to request and encourage you to extend the length of your broadcast on WEC 34 that airs June 1st from 2 hours to 3 hours so that I can watch your station and more of the bouts from this card, or additional time. I have become a big fan of Versus and their MMA programming however, I was sad to see the upcoming WEC 34 event was only listed as a two hour show. Being that fact the WEC has a great card in store for it’s fans, it is a shame we will only get to see a small part of. I hope it isn’t too late to revisit the opportunity to add a 3rd hour and give the fans another reason to tune into the Versus channel.

I am a fan of the WEC and the UFC, which are affiliated promotions in the sport of mixed martial arts. Last month the UFC had a live broadcast on the cable station SpikeTV; thousands of mixed martial arts fans emailed SpikeTV when they saw that a great night of fights was being given two hours of airtime rather than three hours to fit in all of the best bouts that had been scheduled for the live event. I am writing this request in hopes that the good people at Versus will make a similar decision for WEC 34 airing on Versus June 1st. Please extend the live broadcast to three hours so that more fights are shown, which will give more incentive for the millions of MMA fans in America to watch your cable station both that night and in the years to come.

I just wanted to draw your attention to an email writing campaign myself and other members of the internet MMA community Sherdog.net have been running. We are asking the Versus cable network to provide a 3 hour timeslot for coverage of Zuffa's WEC 34 event 'Faber vs. Pulver' scheduled for June 1st. Seeing fans rally being Ultimate Fight Night 13 and getting a 3 hour spot on SpikeTV was the inspiration for this campaign, along with the many compelling fights by some of the top fighters in the 135 and 145 pound weight divisions. What are your thoughts on this actually happening? A shoutout in your next mailbag wouldn't hurt the cause.

I think its a great idea and I'm up for sending as many Emails as necessary, but sadly I don't think there are enough real MMA fans to get them to actually do it.

I mean look at the thread where someone said how stacked this card is, numerous people came in with answers like "this card is just average" "stacked cards are filled with top contenders and there are'nt many on this one", it's ridiculous and pissed me off.

Brackis1, I agree with you on this. I would much rather get an extra hour of WEC on VS than watch some 75 year old man fish.

Do you think Zuffa just doesn't want to pay for the extra hour?
