Plus, if it's between rounds, it's a bit of a Psych job on your opponent, too. I remember wrestling in highschool, and our coach always told us that no matter how tired we were, when the ref wanted to re-start things in the middle, we'd better get to that spot before our opponent. It makes it seem like a) you're not tired, b) you're not hurt and most importantly c) you're not afraid.

Every little thing helps.
Ditto on the wrestling in highschool. If we had the energy to wrestle, we better be fast about getting into position before our opponent, etc.

I dont think 95% of the people here would judge that much more heavily that what happened in the other 4:30 of the round, and I think most judges are better at judging a fight than the people of Sherdog. Unless you count Cecil Peoples, but everyone knows what he says doesnt count.

Judge: I wonder if that last flurry did any damage?

Fighter: (stumbles to his corner)

Judge: I guess that answered that question!

they must, if they can see that a fighter takes a minute to get up and the other fighter jumps up. Not saying the person who jumps up should win the round, but it gives info about how much the fighter was hurting the other.

It could be considered 'damage' I suppose.

It definitely factors in and it should IMO. The perception is if a fighter is so fatigued and or beaten up that he/she struggles to even stand between rounds, damage was caused by the opponent.

Can't express the importance of conditioning enough.

They definitely shouldn't, they're not supposed to
