Question about Judging
Do judges take into account a fighter's demeanor when the round ends?
For example, at the end of the round one fighter can barely move and the other jumps up and hops back to his corner.
If it was a close round would they give it to the fighter that seemed more energetic?
Judges are hard to figure out because they always do the unexpected.

I don't think that's a judgeable aspect, I'm like 98% sure that they can only judge what happens during the 5 minutes of the round....
However, if someone is wobbly on their way to their corner, and someone is more energetic, something probably happened in the fight that caused that...

it isn't part of the "official criteria" but its hard to say it doesn't factor into their end perception of the fight.

Fighters and their corners try to influence the judges and crowd by acting as if they've won. Not sure if it actually helps them, but I guess if one guy is on the floor, breathing hard and bleeding and the other guy is doing a victory lap it might sway them a tinsy tiny bit.
I actually think the astrological alignment of Jupiter and the sun, the migration of meerkats and prevailing winds seem to play a bigger part in the decision making sometimes.

they probably should not, but the fact of the matter is that a huge part of judging is subjective. if it were not subjective, there would be far less inconsistency in different judges' impressions of the same fight. look how sherdoggers judge fights and the biases they show based upon which fighter they like. subjective.

Any little thing that could possibly sway the judges in your favour, no matter how minor those actions may seem, is necessary.
Plus, if it's between rounds, it's a bit of a Psych job on your opponent, too. I remember wrestling in highschool, and our coach always told us that no matter how tired we were, when the ref wanted to re-start things in the middle, we'd better get to that spot before our opponent. It makes it seem like a) you're not tired, b) you're not hurt and most importantly c) you're not afraid.
Every little thing helps.
