Prediction: Ortiz will wait things out while Liddell runs the gauntlet...

I'll start this by saying I AM a Tito fan, but at the same time, the only reason I see Ortiz vs. liddell II happening is for $$$$. It sure wasn't because Ortiz did anything to derserve a rematch as his last 4 fights include 3 decision wins, 2 which were very controversial( Belfort and Griffin) and the other against a guy who would later go on to have zero sucess as a MW(Cote)...I do enjoy Cote though, so thats not a knock, just a fact. So the he pulverizes the 42 year old Shamrock who I firmly believe any top 20 LHW would do the same to at this stage in his career on this level.

And well....he's done exactly what his new contract needed him to do to earn a fight with Liddell in February.....February, nearly 8 months from now. In that time, Liddell will have fought the legit #1 contender Babula Sobral and if all goes as planned, Wanderlei Silva in November....all while Tito does...what? Probably nothing. My guess is Tito will have "re-injured" his knee when he slammed in Shamrock or shortly will in "training" and will be rehabbing that "getting it back to 100% for Liddell".

I guess what I'm getting at is, the UFC shouldn't sit on Ortiz for 8 months or LET him sit. Of course I understand why they WILL let him sit back and wait on Liddell because if Tito fights and loses, its gonna be hard to sell the rematch. It just kind of pisses me off thinking that Tito is going to be waiting in the wings for a title shot which he may or may not have earned while Liddell goes through Sobral and Silva only to fight Ortiz 3 months later. Discuss.

Well, what if Chuck were to lose and we got Tito/Wandy and then Tito/Chuck? Then a little wait wouldn't be a bad thing. Just wait and see how it plays out.

Tito's next match should be Rashad. I'd love to see the two wrestlers go at it.

Well from the sounds of it the whole Liddell/Ortiz 2 was a tenative go for Super Saturday, the key word being tenative. Now with Wanderlei actually signed to the UFC things could get interesting. What do we really know right now?

a) Chuck will defend the strap against Babalu.

b) Wanderlei is inked up for 3 fights

c) Tito is guaranteed a title shot after his two wins

Even though we don't know it yet I'm guessing that Wand probably has some sort of title shot worked into his contract as well. So if Chuck doesn't make it through the gaunlet Tito maybe getting his title shot against someone else...Wand or Babalu.

I love the "I'm not fighter bashing, I'm a fan...really" style of fighter bashing.

Chuck has fought twice in the past 12 months. Tito twice in the past 3 months. Let Tito take a few months off, then win his belt back
