Lutter was a bigger man in his fight with Silva. To me he looked like he was holding his own on the ground until the triangle came in. Perhaps a strong guy with a good GNP game might be able to stun him. Where Lutter's main weapon was submissions.

Agreed, Machida's got skills. but in order to be a fighter you have to turn dodging into counter punching.

The firts time I saw machida fight was against Ortiz. I loved the guy's foot work. it reminded me of Capoeira (5 year Capoeirista myself). Then after 2.5 rounds of watching him not want to engage, I was turned off.

Machida vs A. Silva is a very interesting matchup. Both great strikers with completely different styles who know each other very well. I'd love to see it.

I think they would all be pretty competitive fights - Rampage, Rashad, Cung Le and Machida would be the toughest competition he's faced
