Poll: Where is Filho?

Does anyone else miss Filho on that list? I mean, they have Anderson Silva and Timmeh listed as possible Fighter Of The Year, but not Filho? Is this a joke?

Anderson is 3-1 this year with wins over Leben (Was never and is not Top 10, still a solid win), Fryklund (I dont feel the need to explain that...) and Franklin, vs. Franklin that was a great win (Top 3 MW for sure at that time) for sure, but the other two were just in impressive fashion, but not against impressive fighters.

Timmeh is Timmeh, there is nothing more to say.

Filho is 4-0 2006. He dominated "Ninja", many people thought "Ninja" would win. Not a great win, but solid. He dominated Bouchelaghem, but thats pretty much just Fryklunds level. He submitted Chonan and had no problems at all, I mean, 2.30 Minutes. Solid opponent, Chonan beat Anderson and even though Anderson was slightly better, he still submitted him at the end, so I would say Chonan is at Lebens level. He dominated Misaki and submitted him in R1, Misaki holds wins over Kang and Henderson and is easily Top 10. Very good win.

Even if you dont see Filho as the fighter of the year, he at least deserves to be on that list.

And no, that he had to pull out is not a reason, because Sherdog.com obviously does not give a shit how a certain fighter on that list won his "fights".

Other then Misaki what top Middleweights did he defeat this year? He had a great year that's for sure, but not really as far as being one of the best of the year out of everyone.

Anderson has defeated one Top MW. The (now former) UFC MW champion Rich Franklin. Filho has defeated Misaki, the tournament champion and the guy who beat Henderson, plus two solid opponents while Silva just won against one solid opponent. (Leben). Anderson has a loss, even though not a "real" loss. Filho never lost.

Filho deserves to be on the list, even if you think he is not the Fighter OTY.

I don't think that Anderson should be fighter of the year either. Honorable mention with Filho but not getting the top honor. The fighter of the year should go to Cro Cop easily with St. Pierre being in 2nd place.

I would give it to CroCop, too, especially if he ends this year with (another) HL KTFO at Shockwave. Its just not fair that Anderson and Timmeh are on the list, and Filho is not.

Yes, you are right about "Ninja", but Murilo, even though he is not very good, was a solid opponent. MMAWeekly called it "The overlooked Upset" by the way, thats bullshit of course but many people thought Murilo had a chance even without Shit Boxe (Paul Daley´s word lol) bias.

since franklin got Tkoed and misaki won the tournament the 185 top ten list is sooo fucked up hahhahahhahaha
