I have a friend who just loved Vitor.

The guy is a brawler-type of guy, so I can see why he enjoyed Vitor's explosive demolitions (hell, who didn't) of his early opponents.

But you're right, he still tries to hold on to the Vitor love, because Vitor was the young up and coming guy in the sport, who you just figured would keep getting better and better until he was "the greatest ever".

His wins stand out, his losses are forgettable.

So why is the bandwagon still going? Because of the emotional power of those early wins, no doubt about it.

Well, he beat up a hand full of cans like Hess & Tra and two Butterbean style tubs like Tank and Scott "Massive Liver problems" Ferrozzo before getting whooped by Randy. Then he kTFO a baby verison of Silva with a fast flurry of arm punches and the rest is history.

Comparing Belfort to a young Tyson is a joke.

Belfort is the most overrated MMA fighter in history and a complete disapointment.

Fighting Ferrozzo and Tank was like a prime Tyson fighting Bean, ffs.

Vitor is a highly skilled, extremely confident, yet VERY HUMBLE fighter. I saw his his uncut interview before his first Overeem fight on the Pride MWGP and he is the epitome of what MMA is. It's so funny that on that DVD Rampage and Randleman popped the most shit and ending up getting beaten pretty soundly. I like Vitor because win lose or draw he fights with spirit, heart, determination, and aggression. He leaves it all in the ring. He is modest. He is honest. He is a good fighter capable of beating ANYONE in the 205 division on any given fight.

I feel he may be "struggling" in some people's eyes because MMA is constantly evolving and his quality of opponents are improving. I re-watched all of his early fights. He was simply too fast for Tank, Ferrozzo, Wanderlei, and Telligman. You cannot compare the calibur of fighters I mentioned to the complete fighters he fought recently. (wandy excluded for obvious reasons)

Again my respect for Vitor lies deeper than just wins and losses. His attitude and spirit exemplify what MMA is.........

Naturally you are entitled to your opinion but I am wondering how he is the most overrated when people like Mark Kerr fought in MMA as well......I am not gonna rag on Kerr but after watching Vito fight Randy, Chuck, Tito, Overeem.....how can you call him a dissapointment? That Tito and Chuck fight were close fights and that Tito fight especially could have gone the other way...Has he ballooned up to 330 pounds? Has he been busted for steroids? Has he been involved in any "worked" fights??? There are several fighters who can answer YES to all the questions that I have rasied. Vitor has not. You cannot honestly watch him fight and call him over rated and a disappointment

vitor will come back and become champ of both pride and ufc and then they will make a sweet movie about him where he goes through the bad times and good times in his life/career (like the problem with his sister) kinda like a rocky movie but 100 times better. yeah wouldnt that be cool.
vitor get your head on straight!!
