If BJ comes in at 155 in Dec, no way will he be a healthy 170 in two months. This thread does not make sense. If it did happen in Feb, BJ will be a fat 170.

I figure Penn will fight Florian in December and GSP in February. GSP won't fight again until then. Just a guess.

You would be surprised to know what happens when a fighter overlooks another fighter in his own division.

Think back to Alves vs Hughes, Serra vs GSP, Liddell vs Jardine, Cro Cop vs Gonzaga...........

Penn has always stated that he has no motivation to defend the LW belt, so the real question is: Will Penn take Florian seriously?

BJ would be a fat 170 if it happened in December too.

you dont gain 15 Lbs of pure muscle in 4 months naturally, while keeping good cardio. Ecspecially knowing how much BJ likes his food.

Cardio is catabolic. To effectively gain muscle you need an anabolic state. It can be done together but takes time. 4 months wouldnt be enough i dont think.

Well its ridiculous that a fighter can take more than 1 year off before defending his belt. If he doesn't fight GSP until 2009 then is he goin to defend his belt before 2010. He fought Sherk in march 2008. His next fight is GSP feb 2009. So I guess at this rate he'll defend his lw belt Jan 2010?
