Paulão Filho falou com exclusividade ao World Fight sobre sua volta aos ringues, UFC vs Pride e sobre Dan Henderson.
Henderson
Está acontecendo alguma coisa aí, alguma máfia, sei lá. O Dan Henderson venceu o Murilo Bustamante no garfo e levou um cinturão. Chegou ao Wanderlei Silva pra ser garoto propaganda quando o desafiante deveria ser o Rogério Minotouro ou o Ricardo Arona. Sem querer desmerecê-lo, ou ele tá com um empresário muito bom ou o evento tá gostando muito dele e quer eternizá-lo. Sinceramente não entendo.
UFC - Pride FC
Apesar do UFC ter todo aquele lance de artistas e etc, eu prefiro o Pride. Acho uma coisa mais real, acho que os atletas são melhores. Você vê, o Quinton Jackson levou três surras no Pride, duas do Wanderlei Silva e uma do Maurício Shogun, precisou de menos que 2 minutos para apagar o "lendário campeão" do UFC. Acho que as regras do Pride eram as mais reais possíveis, mas é melhor juntar do que morrer sozinho. Ainda acredito que a coisa no Pride vai melhorar sem a DSE.
A volta
Estou treinando, meu contrato acaba em agosto, tenho luta marcada para o final de julho, não sei o dia nem o adversário. Por mim eu nem faria essa luta, mas tenho que cumprir meu contrato. O Jóinha está vendo algo melhor aí pra mim.

HENDERSON
There is something happening, some kind of mafia, i don't know. Dan Henderson's victory over Bustamante was absolutely doubtful and he took the belt. Then he came to Wanderlei Silva to be the merchandising guy, when the challeger should be Rogerio Minotoro or Arona. I don't wanna take off his merit, or he has a very good manager behind him or the event loves him and wanna make him a legend. Honestly i don't get it.
UFC - PRIDEFC
Although UFC have all that thing about celebrities and etc., i prefer Pride. I think it's more real, i think the fighters are better. You see, Jackson got his ass whooped three times in Pride, Wanderlei Silva twice and Mauricio Shogun once, and he needed less than 2 minutes to knock the "legendary champion" of UFC out. I think Pride rules were the most real possible, but it's better to get together than die alone. I still believe that Pride thing is going to get better without DSE.
THE COMING BACK
I'm training, my contract ends next august, i have a fight scheduled for the final of july, i don't know the day and even the opponent. For me, i wouldn't even fight, but i have to respect my contract. Jóinha (Jorge Guimarães) is looking for something better to me.
