The Oklahoma City news station did a story on me b/c of the fact that I work at a daycare, and fight MMA. They found interest in that, and thought it'd make for a great story. I agreed, however, only on the basis that they would represent the sport in a POSITIVE manner, and not the opposite. They agreed, and the segment aired on one of Oklahoma City's major news stations, OK News 9.

I attached the video below, not to build myself up in any way or to draw self-attention, but just as a fighter, I'd love to see the sport getting a positive build-up like this, as all we as mixed martial artists ever seem to get is ridicule and stereotypes.

No flames please, even though I know putting myself on a forum like this is asking to get flamed... yes, I have an oversized head, and yes I said "Coe-eenk-ee-dink."

If people start to flame this thread, I will erase the thread.

Hey man I just want to say first off that it was awesome! It makes our sport more personable to the average person and I think that is great... The more MMA fans we get the more the sport grows and the bigger the pay for the fighters... Which is greatly deserved! I thank you for having this put up here and dude that is promoting our sport in such a positive way! It proves to those stupid politicians that say its human cockfighting that normal average everyday guys do this too... You sounded very humble in the interview which is a great quality to have... Just a word of advice is to keep it that way and never get to cocky! Sounds like you got a good head on your shoulders having trained 2 years in MMA before ever stepping in the cage!!!! That takes discipline and I bet you completely dominated the less experienced fighter (because most small show guys will take fights with little to no experience). I wish you well in your MMA career and its awesome that the whole state of Oklahoma has a better grasp on MMA and that we are not all guys who just want to drink beer and fight! I am from Texas and I wish people could see something like that to enlighten them a little more! Thanks for the positive promotion of the sport and the best of luck to ya!
