I'd do it like Ross Pointon, run right through his jab and smash his face in!

I mean, here's a guy that claims to have knockout power and tells someone like Matt Hamill to go back to wrestling. Bisping can't stand with anyone. He is garbage in the standup and knows he would have gotten killed in a standup war. So he fought the way he knew would get him a decision because he couldn't go for a takedown or risk getting close to Leben for fear of his left hand. That said, Bisping fought like a bitch and I hope he gets demolished soon....... real soon. Please Dan Henderson, do me a favor and please knock Bisping the hell out!

You're wrong. He just stood with Leben and won. Stand up does not equal KO and a fighter is not a bitch if he decides to fight for a decision in a fight against a fighter with very heavy hands and a very good chin, he's a smart fighter with a good gameplan. If you can't comprehend the difference you're just not very well versed in fighting.

Bisping lacks the power to KO Leben. There's not enough of a difference in their ground games to have made it worthwhile to take it to the mat, not to mention Bisping lacks wrestling. Given the tools he had, he did what was expected of him.

I agree Bisping fought a good fight. He was the better fighter. He used his jab well. Very well. Bisping can't KO leben. He doesn't have the power to nor does he have any power at MW. He just used what he had to beat Leben. Leben was moving in and was aggressive but Bisping used it to his advantage. While Bisping is a very boring fighter, he was got the job done. Now i'm not hating on the guy but he has to evolve if he wants to beat Silva. Bsiping is going ot have get a better game plan. You goning to need more than a jab and some knees from the clinch to beat Silva.

Thanks KillerBee you put that so well. 100% agree with you. These are terrible fans of MMA & haven't a clue

Agreed, only they aren't MMA fans, they're KO fans. MMA fans appreciate all the aspects from the different martial arts with different strategies and the lot, these people are only into finishes like KO's and submissions. They're the equivallent to people who watch only KO boxers like Mike Tyson in boxing.

If I were Bisping? Well, I probably wouldn't have circled away from the left hand, I wouldn't have moved in and out so effectively, I wouldn't have hit him with a single combo, nor would I have hit him any leg kicks or liver shots. I certainly wouldn't have bloodied him up, nor would I have rung his bell.
There's some strange rule that's been going on since the Quarry-Starnes fight. It states that in all MMA both fighters have to stand perfectly still and throw power shots until one of the fighters gets knocked out. Defense, footwork, counter-striking and circling are all now considered to be the features of the cowardly fighter.
This will pass though, it's called mixed martial arts and not straight-up slugfest for a reason.

"Try and score points, the knockout will come"
Every smary fighter lives by this rule, the ones who lose or get KO'd usually don't.

While I am not a fan of Bisping's by any stretch of the imagination, I thought he fought a very intelligent and masterful game plan. He did the very thing he HAD to do to win based on his skillset.
Cool article here about Bisping and a possible fight with Franklin or Hendo for TUF 9's finale.
What's next for Bisping....TUF 9; Hendo or Franklin? | Spladdle!
