Okami beat Franklin

Go ahead and flame away. I know, if you judge the fight in a 10 must system then clearly Rich took the fight. I acknowledge the reason for this way of judging since it makes it alot easier for the judges to score the fights in increments. BUT when you look at the fight as a whole and looking at the whole picture of the fight, I think it was pretty clear that Okami won the fight. The first two rounds were snoozers and Rich and Okami had very methodical game plans. Actually, i wasn't exactly sure what Okami's gameplan was. Maybe he just froze out there or was waiting for a flurry to counter with a takedown. That flurry never happened. Both fighters were briefly in and out of the pocket and rarely in striking range. Rich barely won the first 2 rounds. The third round was pretty action packed. Okami scored the takedown and was all over Rich. He was landing shots, got the mount, took Rich down, and came very very close to tapping Rich out. In a sense, if you are judging the fight as a whole, Okami clearly did enough in the third round to win the fight. Thoughts?

Why is everyone comparing ufc vs. pride rules? Yeah, I did bring up that Pride judges the fight by the whole entire fight and I obviously realized that the UFC judges differently. Yeah, as i said, with the UFC judging criteria, Rich won the fight. Thats pretty obvious. But i do believe there are other ways of judging the fight, such as looking at it as a whole. Forget Pride or UFC judging criterias, all I'm saying is as a fan and judging a fight, i believe if a fighter wins most of the fight and at the end does enough damage, in my opinion, is the winner of the fight. Rich won according to the judging criteria but i think Okami's dominance of round 3rd outweighed Rich's dominance of round 1 and 2.

Yes, judging the fight as a whole, Okami won, he did more damage, but they judge the fight according to each round, so Okami lost.

Gore got more popular votes than Bush; thank god because Bush would be a sucky ass President....unless you judge the fight in a 10 must Electoral College system then clearly Bush took the election....

You're not factoring the possible yellow cards Okami would have gotten under Pride rules.

They tell the fighters how a fight will be scored before the fight. Amazing concept isn't it.

Thanks for the contribution. The point is, there are different ways to judge a fight. Such as the way Pride use to judge fights. They judged the fight as a whole, not round by round. I understand why they employ the 10 must system since a judge may be mentally burnt out after fight especially 5 rounds for championship fights, but for some situations, I think think this style of judging is fair.
