Sounds fishy...spike would make a Tit load of money from the sponsers regardless of how crapy the fights went....doesnt make sense??? Spike was paid before the event ever took place. Its like when CBS buys the Super Bowl coverage, then, weeks before it ever goes down, the charge everybody the 2 million per commercial. They get paid wether the game sucks or not......just quantify this and you have the same situation.

I know this is a bit of a stretch, but how hard would it be to move a UFC 73 fight to UFC 72 to beef it up a bit? Any of the headliners can go to make the PPV more appealing (Sherk/Franca, Silva/Nate, Tito/Evans). Not sure why they haven't gone this route if they're gonna charge for this PPV.

And as a side note, I usually disagree with all the naysayers on this board that calls every event crappy prior to it showing, but this one really is crap.

spike is one of the main reasons ufc blew up. would a falling out with spike do damage??

Exactly. Yes if UFC leaves cable for pay t.v(HBO), it will hurt them. Of course I dont know how much because they own the biggest competitior(Pride). So it might just hurt us, the fan.

Maybe the UFC wants to make more money by making it strictly PPV or maybe some issues with Spike....Idk but its gonna be on dailymotion.com the next day
