I think weight has to be seriously thought about when discussing p4p fighters. Pound for Pound is just that. I honestly feel BJ penn is probably the best in the world; pound for pound. But becasue he got destroyed in GSPII you have to put GSP ahead. BJ may have lost to GSP @ 170 but he is no where as big as him. The same reason he lost is the same reason everyone hates on Brock Lesner. Plus BJ actually moves up to prove the p4p status Big risk and Big Reward. He even fought Machida at 205. Which brings up Anderson. He also moves around and fights at a different class. I would like to see him fight top 205s but he will never fight machida. Belfort will give us a very good look because he is a really big 185.
So:
1.GSP
2.Asnderson
3.BJ

No one else applies imo.

P4P rankings are a bit of a waste in my opinion. They are fun to talk about, but not really applicable. That said, I hate seeing BJ Penn lower than he should be on them.

GSP has better takedowns, takedown defense, submissions, submission defense, ground-and-pound, cardio, strength, and athleticism than Silva. Silva has better striking and a better chin. GSP, overall, is a much more skilled and better fighter.

This is who Lesnar has fought:

Win Frank Mir TKO (Punches) UFC 100 - Lesnar vs. Mir 2 7/11/2009 2 1:48
Win Randy Couture TKO (Punches) UFC 91 - Couture vs. Lesnar 11/15/2008 2 3:07
Win Heath Herring Decision (Unanimous) UFC 87 - Seek and Destroy 8/9/2008 3 5:00
Loss Frank Mir Submission (Kneebar) UFC 81 - Breaking Point 2/2/2008 1 1:30
Win Min Soo Kim Submission (Punches) K-1 HERO's - Dynamite!! USA 6/2/2007 1 1:09

Frank Mir:
Record 12 - 4 - 0 (Win - Loss - Draw)

Randy Couture:
Record 16 - 10 - 0 (Win - Loss - Draw)

Heath Herring:
Record 28 - 14 - 0 (Win - Loss - Draw) ( 1 NC )

Min Soo Kim
Record 3 - 6 - 0 (Win - Loss - Draw)

how is he even in the top 10 when he has fought NOBODIES, and even lost to Mir?!?!
if it was big, muscular contest, yeah, top 10.
BUT, he has fought NO ONE. Look at the records of the people he's beaten.
and he's top 10, even 1 P4P?!?!? after 5 fights, of which 1 he lost, to cans, over the hill, ave fighters.
some people should just go to a body building forum instead of intelligent thinking, MMA forum.
