That doesn't have much anything to do with the typical definition of p4p. p4p is measuring accomplishments of fighters and paying no attention to weight classes, not the more magical 'if these two fighters fought, who would win.' p4p is usually very much a snapshot of recent accomplishments. Breen looks at the last 3 years specifically.

P4P ranking in MMA are a joke, useless, irrelevant, and B.S. Leave that crap to people who pontificate about the "Sweet Science"

MMA does not have a ridiculous amount of weight classes from 135lbs-205+ lbs

The top fighters in each weight class have had completely different paths to there success and faced totally different kinds of competition.

Boxers are literally 1 dimensional ( 1 form of attack ) so making comparisons to there peers (regardless of weight) is infinitely easier.

This will be my only thread/post regarding any P4P talk in MMA


P.S. Fedor is the best fighter in the world until he is defeated; then there is everyone else. Even that is pushing it until Fedor fights in a cage.
