Because you know Randy will take it to him win or lose and not to mention it would be curious to see what type of game plan he creates for the fight.

Probably. Also, a former HW champion vs a MW champion where the MW would be a heavy favorite. Randy might be way too slow these days...

Nogeira twice, former pride champion and ufc interim champion
coleman twice, pride gp champion, ufc hw champion
randleman, ufc champion
sylvia, ufc champion
sammy shcilt, k1 champion
mark hunt, k1 champion
arlovski, ufc champion
crocop, pride gp champion

anderson silva has fought some top opposition but not even close to fedor

d henderson , pride and ufc champ
marquart, king of pancrase
franklin twice, ufc champ
carlos newton, ufc champ

well to be honest, Randy should not be fighting at heavy weight because he can easily cut to 205 and Silva has no problem competing at that weight so size wise their is no advantage. I believe Siva's walk around weight is 215, while Randy is a few pounds heavier.

Yea, I think Randy's best days are behind him. The fact that he is still fighting with the best is just mind blowing.

I think Randy's gameplanning outweights Anderson's skills...but that's just me. Unfortunately, we've seen Randy get KO'd by Chuck and TKO'd by Brock, which are monsters compared to Anderson but still...a fast strike to Randy's ear, chin, temple just might be enough to take Randy. I think Randy's ground control would also outweight Anderson's sub attempts because it's hard to lock a sub when you're getting pounded in the face with fists and elbows.
I think it really is a 50/50 fight which is why you find it intriguing, as do I. I give a thumbs up to it as well...although, I really hate it when fighter division jump constantly for no reason. I like Randy at HW, Anderson at MW and Brock should have SuperHeavyweight, if they would get on making that a true division already. Heh.

thats nonsence, he is actually one of the only guys on the list who has fought at multiple different weight categories!! Not only has he held the belt at 2 weight categories, he has also competed at lhw, going to a decision against freaking Machida. Thats pretty much a good definition of P4P

Sherdog's p4p rankings are a joke. Fedor at #3? Anderson at #1? It seems that the overwhelming majority of MMA fans are coming to a conclusion that The Last Emperor is the best P4P in the world. It should be:
1. Fedor
2. GSP
3. Anderson
4. Torres
5. Penn
6. Machida
7. Evans
8. Alves
9. Mike Thomas Brown

Honestly I am starting to wonder if the UFC gives Sherdog a little incentive to make Silva their P4P king

Im happy with SherDogs top 10. Think they've done a good job. Though, getting harder and harder to see Anderson as the P4P best in the world the way he fought at 97
