Although I'm a huge Silva fan first off, maybe GSP fans and Fedor fans will be moreless suprised or angry at the top 3 I see it just.

so then you should have Aoki as your #1 LW.

I've been following alot of rankings on US websites, and I think I've worked out their criteria... it goes like this:
1. If you fight in the UFC, you get bumped up 2 spots
2. If you're American you get bumped up 1 spot
3. If you're American and you have a great looking record (even if you've beaten nobodies) you get bumped up 1 spot
4. If you're not American and dont fight in the UFC (no matter who you beat) you go down 2 spots

That's right... once he joins the UFC he will get his 2 extra points and automatically become number #1

GSP has lost 3, Anderson has lost 4 and Fedor has lost ZERO.
and by the way, Sherk was barely ranked in the top 10 by Sherdog itself when BJ Penn beat him.
Remember, I am not saying that BJ isn't #1 in the world because I think he is. I am saying that using if Sherdog used your own criteria for justification of their rankings, than Fedor is the #1 fighter in the world.

I agree with you. but the P4P ranking is much more subjective than the weight category rankings. With P4P you are basically ranking fighters who will never fight each other.....there is no way to quantify that!

I didn't think P4P rankings were the same as weight class rankings. It would be dumb to rank them the same way, especially considering that HW doesn't have as much talent as WW.

I disagree.....Gomi only got bumped off the #1 spot a year ago despite having no great wins, and a bad loss in the 2 previous years. Fedor has consistantly been ranked #1. which fighters do you think should be at #1 in each category that arent?

i dont get your point weight class rankings are different then p4p.but i do think fedor should be number 1 maybe number 2.but saying penn shouldnt be number 1 at lw is dumb and i know you said he should but all you can argue for the most part is that fedor should be the number 1 hw.if silva doesnt fight an elite guy in his next fight and win fedor should be number 1 without a doubt.but meh its all opinion anyway.you say fedors good cause of this they say this guys better because of this.in the end its bullshit.fedor still has that wamma belt.

It is ridiculous to think that Fedor is not number one. He is the most feared fighter in the world. Sherdog says A. Silva is head and shoulders above the compitition but Fedor has already killed his division. Pretty stupid imo.
