I hate to be that guy, but you might've noticed that this article was posted nearly 3 weeks ago! Very old news in terms of the internet!
It's a shame, but really he wasn't performing and claiming a bigger cheque than a number of guys in the division who were, so it might be the best thing for him in the end. We can get back to epic full-length Gono Bounces and hopefully see him rebound against some good competition in Sengoku.

Total BS, he lost a bologna decision to hardy than had to face the 2nd best welterweight in the world

Yeah I mean the UFC builds its rep on having the best fighters. Gono clearly was not.
But bottom line, he's super experienced and if he's on the card of a show I'm going to, well it's one more thing to get excited about.
I don't see anything wrong with keeping a guy for entertainment value. They do it for Houston Alexander!
