Nog is so legit
32-4-1..
4 losses all decisions...2 to Fedor, 1 split to Barnett (avenged 3 months later), 1 split to hendo (avenged via armbar later)
Those are some legitimate losses if you ask me...
So next to Fedor, is Nog #2 HW of all time? Im sure alotta ufc fans here are gunna say couture is #2 all time, although back to back ko losses to chuck and a loss to a younger less experienced barnett...
thoughts..

Nog is definitely no2 of all time, hes done a lot more than randy. Randy beat gonzaga and couture, nog beat the guy who beat gonzaga and finished big tim.

I think he actually won the first fight against Barnett. He also didn't lose to Henderson the first time around. That was one of the worst decisions ever. But I also think Ricco beat him.
Anyhow, he is #1 in my book. Yes, Fedor beat him, but Nog has also beat more top fighters: Mirko, Barnett, Werdum, Sylvia, Sergei, Coleman, Schilt, Herring thrice...
Even if Fedor beat him, it is a big question mark how he would match up with other top 10 fighters. He's really only beat Nog and Mirko. BY now we know that beating the second or third guys ranked isn't necessarily a proof that you would own the rest. Forrest vs. Shogun proved this, Mirko vs. Hunt, Gonzaga and Kongo proved this, and Chuck vs. Jardine also proved this. Even Hughes vs. Hallman and Gomi vs. Aurelio and Diaz proved this. I think Nog is going to have a hard time against these big monsters; but no other HW, in history, has fought the competition he's faced and come up with such a positive record.

Randy is, I think, the greatest fighter in MMA history at this point. What he did when he came back and regained the HW title against Sylvia was historical, to say the least. But again, it is ridiculous how much people overlook its only been two victories in the HW division that has put him on the upper echelon. Nog has been beating top competition for years, consistently. I'm not sure Couture deserves this high praise, insofar as HW rankings is concerned.

100% agreed I rate Nog ahead of Fedor until he's fights the better competition.

And you're not in virtue of calling me one.
