Nick Diaz vs. John Alessio

It states on www.nickdiaz.tv that he will be fighting John Alessio. How do you see this fight going? John had some pretty good sprawl, from what I saw against Diego. I think the fight will stay standing. I think Nick can KO him.

Nathan is also on the card...

Diaz's reach advantage should serve him well in this fight, if he chooses for it to remain a standing battle. I'd say it would be smarter for him to try to work his subs out of the guard to avoid Alessio's main strength in striking, but I'd hate to see him get caught in another Diego-esque situation where he's clearly more active but not according to the score cards.

I really hope that Diaz doesn't let this one go to the judges. They seems to hate the guy.

Nick's got to come through w/ a win here. And not by decision. Last fights going to decision and losing by scorecard isn't gonna get him anywhere. I'd like to see him sink a slick decision in the 1st.

that should be a good fight. I like nick in this one.. but then again I picked nick to smash the nightmare and it didn't happen.. Nick is going to be really focused.. he just needs to keep his emotions under control and he could take almost anyone in the ww division

Yeah, methinks Alessio will keep this one standing and take a decision. As exciting as his fights have been Diaz just hasn't put that last ingredient, whatever that may be, into his game so he can finish off the next level of fighters.
