The Next Generation of fighters in UFC, Pride.. ..

Are going to be the fiercest, deadliest fighters the world will ever see. After Fedor, Crocop, Big Tim, Chuck and everybody has retired, the new wave of champs and competitiors will be 10 x what the "now" fighters are.

MMA is catching on and catching on quick, more kids and young adults are taking up this sport, and as the numbers grow, the competition will only become tougher and tougher, because the talent pool will be so large, compared to what it is now.

I bet in 5-10 years from now, you'll be seeing most if not all 19-22 year old kids with the same talent Fedor had at the peek of his career. All competing for the top.

More does NOT equal better. Also, how can they be more deadly? Are they going to bring knives into the octagon?

Yes we see alot of Ali's in boxing and there are mini Micheal Jordan's everywhere. Fedor set a standard which is currently unsurpasable and there is no one on the horizon that will be as dominant and skilled.

Or they might suck. As any K-1 fan can tell you, having a great set of fighters at one point in time, does not necessarily mean that the quality of fighters will be better several years later. K-1 had it's HW golden years in the 90's and the competitor's just kept getting better and there were lots of "top fighters". Then they just hit a dead spot where there was no talent of that caliber coming up. Now we are stuck with the old greats, who are far fast peak, and the new guys who just don't live up to the quality of the older guys in their prime. Hopefully this won't happen with MMA, but you can't just assume that because things are improving now, they will definitely continue on this path.
