If you are a real MMA fan it is Blasphemy to miss UFC 84 !!!/MMA Live ESPN.com
I have been writing an article that I am going to do for every big MMA event and the 5 reasons Moneday to Friday as to why if you are a REAL MMA fan it is Blasphemy to miss them.
This week is UFC and I have started it with, Is Shane Carwin the REAL next big thing?
Carwin is a former 2 time NCAA division 2 Wrestling Champion (2 time runner up also). 2 time all American Football player, he is 6"4 265 lbs. For years the UFC'S most succesful champions have all had a Wrestling base. Matt Hughes, Randy Couture, Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell all have wrestling credentials and have had their runs as dominating champions. Carwin's dominance so far may be his ground and Pound and his Wrestling in smaller shows. With Antonio Minitauro Nogueira and Frank Mir ready to do battle at the end of the year. The UFC Heavyweight division might be determined by a fighter's Ju Jitsu skills and defense.
Please give me feed back tell me if my writing sucks any feed back I will appreaciate it.
Sorry for bumping an old post I do not want to spam and I am having trouble starting a new thread.
[size="2"]Kenny Florian who recently beat Joe Lauzon at Ultimate Fight Night 13 and filled in for Joe
Rogan's commentating duties at UFC 83 will host a show for ESPN.com called "MMALive".
Florian who will be fighting Roger Huerta at UFC 87 in Minnesota broke the news on MMAweekly.com
Quote:
“Basically, I was contacted by ESPN about two weeks before my fight against (Joe) Lauzon, and there was some interest. They finally got the okay to do an MMA show, and they were interested in using me for this show,”
This is really great news to see ESPN is finally recognizing that MMA is not a fad and deserves to be publicized more then College cheerleading finals...
