OUT STRUCK?!??!?!??! WTF!

Here's what i saw
Good kicks shogun , great clinch work Knees and takedowns, Submission attempts, back control, mount, sweeps from guard, back to back mount, choke attempt, up kicks.
end of round 1
fatigue is noticeable on shoguns face.

Round 2
Low kick that makes Naku trip, exchanges to clinch control by shogun more knees, takedown naku knee, Shogun gets up more leg kicks, exchange punches and shogun works for clinch control once more, naku punches Shogun answers with knees, Naku punches again get tied up and taken down again, Top control Shogun, stands up soccer kick and foot stomp, takes Nakus back works for a choke, Naku escapes to guard round is over.

Round 3
Shogun gets caught with a good left, works for clinch once more after eating a few punches he gets it and delivers more knees, naku attempts high kick gets taken down, Top Control shogun, scramble Shogun ends up on top after deliverinb a knee, another scramble shogun delivers a knee followed by a takedown, top control again, Shogun stands foot stomp to triangle attempt to omoplata attempt, takedown Naku and stands up, Takedown Shogun, Top control shogun, knee to the head and body, knee on belly control punches to head, scramble soccer kick attempted foot stomp regains top control, stands to attempt foot stomp, kick to the midsection while Naku flurries with punches, Shogun blocks alot of the punches eats some and fire back with Kicks to the body. End of Round

So Naku's best display of punches came at the end of the 3rd round in fight in which shogun schooled the shit out of him and was probably spent by then from beating his ass.
How in the fuck can you say that Naku out struck him?!

Seemed to me shogun was punching his way into the clinch like he does all the time.
Bottom line you don't know shit!

Shogun will shoot on Forrest and it's a fact:

Shogun could stand with Chuck??? yeah right.
Even on a bad night Rua can beat a top 10 fighter, Griffin aint even a top 10 fighter.

I don't understand why grapplers are the only ones who get credit when they show they're well-rounded. Ex: when Arona fought Overeem people were so quick to give him props for striking w/ Overeem but for some reason it doesn't work the other way around. Strikers (or at least fighters that are known for their striking ability) don't get credit when they take someone out of their game and/or put them on their back... they just catch a lot of shit for whatever reasons, I don't get it.

Anyway, Naka is no bitch standing, the guy was banging it out w/ Wanderlei Silva, sparred w/ Pedro Rizzo and Mark Hunt and I think those guys said that Naka was really tough... it's not much of a surprise that Naka was tough as shit standing.
Great post. good points. Shogun repeatedly took down the judoka one of Yoshida's top students. He has a much higher in fight iq than forrest does, and only fedor is sharoer mentally in a fight imo. This is where he will beat forrest. he will test out the stand up, and if that is not flowing, he will clinch and use a trip takedown which he has become great at to use his higher level jiu jitsu, or very underrated and dynamic gnp

That said, Shogun CAN stand with Forrest if he chooses and do well. Maybe even get a KO. Shogun has taken some huge shots and not been KO'd. That's why I see Shogun winning, because I can't see how Forrest wins.

LMAO. Cyrille is world Champion Kickboxer. Aliistar is a k-1 Calbir Striker. Shogun wasn't supposed to outstrike either of those guys.

And to the TS,

Nakamura would fair very well against Chuck, Im not saying he would definitely win or anything but his style would pose serious problems for Chuck. He has good chin, he has heavy hands, very good judo clinch game and a solid ground game with great cardio.

Nakamura is also >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Forrest.

Shogun has been doing BJJ since he was 6 and it is his strong point moreso than any of his other weapons which are also very deadly.
