Cyrille is a 6'6 tall kickboxer and has excellent speed he is a lot like Alistar as far as being an explosive starter is concerned.

ue, but Diabate is a very good striker....has a retarded reach and height advantage, smart move by Shogun..Forrest is NOWHERE near Diabete as far as striking goes.

Shogun will fight smart.GnP is the smartest choice against Griffin.
Why are so many people expecting Shogun to come in with some Tito style elbows?

Shogun's ground and pound is great and he knows how to finish there but his style is unique in that he doesn't get close to the fighter on the ground.

He always stays far enough to throw powerful punches and close enough to not let them get up. He stays away from submissions and lands powerful punches with surprising acuracy.

So unless he changes his style a bit, which he must have at least considered because of the rule differences, I don't think he will be using elbows on the ground.

I'm not a follower of Shogun, I'm more of a Rampage guy myself, but I won't bet against that guy.

Snake was all skin and bones, no strength on that guy and his TDD was non-exixtent. Forrest has some strength and TDD going in.

Shogun always uses elbows on the ground, but to the body. Now that he can throw them to the head, I expect to see him use them.
