Shogun Rua:
13 wins by KO/TKO
1 win by submission

How many of those Ko/Tko happened during stand-up ?

Didn't read the 10 pages of posts to this point....I'm just gonna assume its 10 pages of people calling the threadstarter a moron or troll, etc.

That being said, what an amazing fighter Shogun is. He has the full pkg...standup, takedowns, ground and pound, submissions. And he flows from one strategy to the next instantaneously.

Nakamura is a better fighter than Griffin. Shogun beats Griffin any day of the week, any way he wants, and twice on Sunday.

1. Nakamura is actually a very good fighter.

2. Nak is not afraid to get hit. (I guess we'll see if Forrest was only gunshy for one fight)

3. Shogun's boxing is far from good but clinchwork plus knees and kicks from the outside are also apart of the standup aspect and they are excellent.

4. Shogun does leave himself open sometimes and would be smart to avoid slugging with the likes of Liddell, whereas Forrest should also avoid getting into slugwars as witnessed by his loss to Jardine.

You make it sound like Nak dominated Shogun on the feet which was far from true even though he tagged Shogun on a few occasions. Shogun dominated that whole fight and if you realize Nak isn't a can (and that Forrest is good but not great) you may see that Shogun is likely to dominate Forrest in the same fashion but would finish Forrest on the ground IMO.
I have no problem with Shogun finishing Forrest on the ground, and I do believe if it hits the ground Forrest is in trouble, however, I don't think Shogun can outstrike Forrest as Forrest is the more crisper puncher, and lately his kicks have been impressing me.

Contrary to what 100% of responders in this thread believe, I love Nak, he's one of my fav fighters cuz he will fight anybody, but I believe that if Forrest and Nak were in a pure striking match, Forrest would pick him apart. I know if/when Shogun clinches/takes him down, the fight will be over, but what I wanted to point out was that Forrest HAS AN ADVANTAGE OVER SHOGUN! which is his HANDS.

I guess this year hasn't taught anything to the Pride boy lovers and UFC TUF noobs that in an MMA fight a simple flaw in the strategy can make even the best fighters look like a can.

Shogun will shoot on Forrest and it's a fact:

LOL

Nakamura is possibly the worst match up for Chuck besides Rampage. He has fantastic defence, is very strong and stocky, has fantastic throws and takedowns from the clinch, has a very good chin, and great subs. Oh yeah, he's also fast and very explosive. Jardine has better striking than Nak, taller, has a better reach, and probably more power but that won't help him against Chuck because Jardine throws wide and he'll get countered and dropped.

it isn't an insult to shogun.. that is part of what makes his great... he has great clinch takedowns and a great ground game.. thus he can win in other ways.

but he IS OFTEN OUTSTRUCK.

People see his fight with Rampage.. and somehow it blinds them.. they are like, "He is the greatest most deadly striker"

NO FUCKING WAY haha
yeah, it's not like he outboxed Rampage, he just clinched for deal life and broke his bones with knees....damn he has some nasty knees.

I like your attempt to be a smart ass, but you failed to realize that Babalu is known for submissions, where Horn has never been known to KO anybody, let alone it be a high kick to the head.

You need to add continuity to your MMA knowledge.
