i think more than anything recently Shogun has proved in his last few fights that he is probably the most well rounded lhw there is. and when he goes to the ground he doesn't just stall and make it boring. he constantly passes guard, knees from sidemound, goes for arm triangle chokes, takes the back for RNC, and mounts to punish guys. his jiu jitsu is VERY impressive IMO. on the other side of things, when he gets in trouble on the feet, he quickly closes the distance and uses the thai clinch to go for some knees or the trip takedown. his versatility is unmatched so far in my mind. forrest could get lucky, but i think shogun's just gonna be putting another impressive W on his resume.

I met Forrest in LA at UFC 60. Talked with him, BS'd for about 10 minutes. Then talked with him some more in the hotel lobby later that night. The most humble guy you will ever meet in your entire life. With that being said, I just hope he doesn't get hurt against Shogun. Be realistic here you guys.

Funny how the TS tried to discredit Shogun using Nak and then it totally turned around on him after all the Nakamura nuthuggers came out of the woodwork.

Although your post wasnt the greatest way to show how good Griffins chances are it still shows how all the upsets latley have not shown hardly anyone that anything can happen.


Theres so many posts like, "Shogun will destroy Griffin easy, and Shogun by whatever he wants". People just never learn.


I would definately put my hard earned cash on Shogun if I was a better but you know Couture and Griffin are working eachother to death and Forrest will show up to fight.
