My UFC 71 experience Day 3***w/pics***

DAY 1: My UFC 71 experience Day 1

DAY 2: My UFC 71 experience Day 2 ***w/pics***

Well now its on to day 3, Fri May 25th. We planned to get to the MGM early
because we read on Sean Salmon's blog that they are supposed to pre-weigh
from 9:00-11:00. So we arrived around 9:30 and went to the Grand Garden Arena
and sure enough there was Sean sitting there with his team. We also saw Din
Thomas. Walking out was Wilson Gouveia but he was on the phone so we followed
him until he hung up then stepped in for a quick pic.

Then as we were coming back Din Thomas was coming out so we asked him for a
photo. He was really nice and all by himself but no one was stopping him.

Next my friend spotted Rampage coming around the corner so we got out our 8X10
photos we had developed from yesterday. And when he got close enough we asked
if he would sign them. Juanito commented that he liked my shirt. Rampage was really
impressed that we already printed out the photo we took with him yesterday. Then I got
a nice photo with Juanito. Although I don't think I was ready for it.

Next we saw a big dude with a cowboy hat coming. It was none other that Heath Herring.
Not many people knew who he was but we got a quick pic and wished him luck in July.
Some people would even ask who was that or even worse are you fighting tomorrow.
I can't believe how many people didn't know who was fighting or had any clue what
was going on.

Next my friend spotted Gabriel Gonzage, again not many people noticed who he was.
So we got a quick pic he didn't speak much english so we didn't have much to say.

We decided to go get something to eat since it was getting to be that time. We went
to the food court of the MGM and got some pizza but on the way we saw Terry Martin.
He had on glasses but we spotted him. Asked for a photo. He was very nice and I told
him I had money on him and his response was that it was the easiest money I would make.
After we stopped him other "fans" started coming up to him but I think it was because
we got a photo with him not because they knew who he was.

look below for a lot more, it only lets me put 6 photos per post

That's not BJ. I saw that guy and his blue mohawked kid all over MGM. Looks a lot like him, though.

And after Terry Martin we saw Joe Stevenson,
we saw him yesterday but he was
carrying his kid in his arms so of course we just
said hi when he walked by.
But today we got a photo and right after words
he was doing an interview with
someone but the weird thing was they had the
camera about 2 inches from
his face with this super bright light too.

Well we finally got something to eat and as we
dumped our trays we saw Shonie Carter.
Real hard to spot with his yellow suit.

Then we went back to the Garden Arena to wait in line
for the autograph sessions since the lines were getting
pretty long. It was already out the door.
We caught Scott Smith going by. Funny thing is we saw
him a few times. But we
could not remember his name for the life of us. It was
on the tips of
our tongue but couldn't figure it out so we had to look it up
when we got home because we knew we would see him again.

We went to the autograph session. There were a lot of people
there. Due to inside information we knew who would be signing
Roger Huerta, Gabriel Gonzaga, Rashad Evans, Andrei Arlovski.
Having met all 4 already we still wanted to get some autographs.
We waited in line for about 45 mins. We tried paying people to
let us cut because we wanted to be in the front of the line for
weigh-ins but people can't be bought apparently. $40 is not
enough for them to let you go before them and they meet
the fighter 10 secs later. I would have taken it had I been waiting
in line for 4 hrs but thats just me. Well first was Roger and we had
him sign the picture we took from the day before. He liked that and
was really cool. Security was trying to rush people and say no photos
and only one autograph per fighter but roger would always take a
photo and sign anything you gave him. Next was Gonzaga who was about
15 mins late, not sure why maybe didn't know he had to go. They
had premade 8x10 photos so he signed one and gave them to us.
Next was Rashad and he signed our picture from the day before.
I'll put the one of my friend because he had a crazy look on his face.

Last but not least was AA he signed our photo of us with him and seemed
to like it. We got him to smile. Then I got one of his premade photos and
shook his hand then we waited in line for the weigh-ins.
We waited for ever and there were a lot of uneducated fans I will call them.
A few of the fighters would make there way through the crowd.
A was probably the only one to notice Belcher and hollered out his name
and he looked and gave me the head nod. Tim Sylvia made an appearance
and was met with some light boos and heckling but seemed decent and
was talking photos and signing stuff while he was making his way through.
Well after sitting around for almost 2 hrs they finally let us in. It was a
madhouse apparently some seats were reserved but they didn't say
anything until you sat down in them. Next time we are going to try and
sit as far to the left as possible because that is where the fighters are
hanging out. Well the weigh-ins I am sure everyone saw. They burned through
the first few rather quickly but then had to wait once they got to the main
card fighters because espn was broadcasting them. During the breaks
Joe Rogan would say a few things that were kind of funny. Then they
paused again before Chuck and Rampage. After the weigh-in we quick ran
downstairs figuring most of the fighters would come out there to avoid the
huge crowd. We were somewhat right. We got James Irwin coming out.
He was intense and extremely ripped.

Also world class trainer Greg Jackson

well I'm up to 6 pics again so new post coming in a few minutes.
look for it below
