My Two Cents on Randy Couture

I respect Randy for stepping up for something he believes in and going through the consequences at the moment. By that I am referring to Randy walking out on UFC contract. He was a 44 year old MMA fighter and he probably had a fight or two left. Randy even said that the only fight that makes sense for him is to fight Fedor.

Randy is not getting any younger and I really don't want him to fight when he is 46 ~ 47 years old.

I really wish Dana signed Fedor to fulfill Randy's wish as a thank you to Randy. Or at least Randy finishing out the contract and retire with the proper respect that he truly deserves.

I don't want to see Randy ending his MMA career down this path.

Fedor offered to fight Randy in the UFC for a 1-fight deal but that offer was declined.

Unfortunately this isn't a new twist on things...sounds like a thread from a long time ago now.

That said, I do wish he could finish out his career with some actual fights. Plus, he's got to be hurting financially now too - at least a bit. Hopefully he's not into the Vegas gambling scene.

But seriously, it's a pride thing IMO and it sucks that neither side wants to give an inch.
