My Review of UFC Ohio thus far (kind of long)

So i drive about 600 miles take a two days off of work to come and meet the fighters at the weigh ins. As to my surprise there are thousands of people there to see the weigh ins and it stokes me out. Then after the wiegh ins im sitting there with my camera like an asshole, hearing about how personable the ufc is and how all the fighters take pics and sign autographs with the fans. i was pretty excited. Then I hear unless you have a green wristband you must leave!?!?!?! So as im hiding trying to get some shots of some of the fighters leaving i was pretty pissed that i wasted two days to get down there early for nothing. As i was standing by the pisser waiting for my wife one of the security guards asked me if i had a green wristband. I replied no im waiting for my wife to take a dump but asked why i needed a green wristband and why i dont get to meet the fighters. He said that only the ufc fightclub members get to meet and greet with the fighters and the rest of us were shit out of luck. He said that it was supposed to be whoever was there would get to meet and greet like usual but due to the fact that half of Ohio showed up they had to change it last minute. So i was pretty disappointed. I do understand but still I was pissed.

Some of the things that were cool and not so cool.
COOL
1. Rich Franklin, Randy Coutour, Joe Stevenson, Keith Jardine, and Eddie Sanchez mingled with the crowd signing autographs and taking pictures with as many as they could.

2. The best thing was CHRIS LYTLE stood outside in the cold by himself, no security, signing autographs and taking pictures with every fan that waited.

3. When Tim got booed he just took it in stride and kept smiling and waving.

NOT SO COOL
1. No parking what so ever around the arena. Had to park about a mile away and walk.

2. No meet and greet and to get a pic of any of the fighters was like hunting for bigfoot.

3. Tim Silvia got the biggest boo i have ever heard. Grant it not the people favorite but still there should be respect for all of the fighters.

4. Matt Hughes also got booed and didnt sign autographs with anybody in the audience.

I hope the event tonite lives up to the hype and will post final thoughts on my first ufc event.

Sylvia doesn't deserve any respect from the fans, especially after he flicked them all off in his last fight.

I love UFC fans sounds like you are surrounded by Douche bags...the only booing at the Pride weigh ins last week were by Nick Diaz's fans and they would fit right in at your little shin dig there in Ohio...

Booing Champions and former champs...that is class...

Yep it was only the Diaz fans that were booing. So im guessing you went around and asked everyone that booed if they were Diaz fans, right?

Figured Ohio would be like that, first UFC event in this part of America since it blew up.

That's kind of stupid that you get screwed unless you're a UFC Fight Club member.
