In my opinion I don't think we will see Matt hughes and Rich Franklin champs again
Whats your opinion on this but I could be wrong

Matt Hughes...yes, if he can concentrate on his wrestling (meaning can get to the point of taking his opponent down)

Franklin...maybe. He was doing well until he got into the clinch. If he can counter it, he could take it by decision.

GSP has Matt Hughes figured out. He's better than Hughes in every aspect, so I don't see Hughes holding the belt ever again. Same goes for Rich. He's pretty good but Silva will hold onto that belt for a long time.

Hughes i don't think will be able to as long as GSP is champ.

Franklin I do think can be champ again. He just way overestimated his ability to fight in the clinch against Silva. With a different gameplan I think he could win.

I agree with your accessment of Matt Hughes mainly because of the incredible depth of the WW division in the UFC. He will probably be too old by the time his next shot rolls around. I think Franklin is a poor matchup for the Spider, but has a great chance if the Spider is beaten by anyone else in the MW division of the UFC.

I can't see a circumstance where Franklin could ever beat Silva, and since I dont see Silva losing anytime soon, I think that is that. Maybe sometime in the far future, but not anytime soon. They are putting him in with McDonald so he wont have to get that brittle chin checked.

that being said I agree. franklin in retrospect really didnt beat anybody noteworthy and hughes isn't gonna get a belt as long as gsp has it
