Hello everybody this is my first post, so here's a little bit about my mma history and knowledge;

.The first UFC fight I saw was Robbie Lawler vs. Steve Berger @ UFC 37.5
.The first UFC that I ordered was UFC 43...I became an instant Couture fan
. Randy Couture is my all-time favorite fighter
. The first Pride show I saw was a highlight of the best of pride
. The first pride event I ever ordered was shockwave 2004
. I believe that Pride has a deeper talent pool than the UFC, but the UFC's top fighters could seriously compete in pride and UFC champs like Liddell and Franklin are in at least the top 3 if not number one in their respective weight classes.
. In a fight anything can happen, but I truly believe that the top 4 heavyweights in pride (fedor, big nog, cro-cop, and barnett) would beat tim sylvia.

That's it for now I only decided to finally post today because I was bored waiting for the results of the MAYHEM/LAWLER fight....does anybody know the results yet?

no raeson to be flamed, you were stating ur opinion and your right as far as most weight classes go, but the welters in the ufc would whoop prides asses if they went over

Well I'm guessing since pride doesn't have a 170lb. division that most of the UFC welterweights would drop down to pride lightweight, there I agree with you...but realistically the bigger welterweights like Hughes, GSP, Deigo, Riggs and so on would probably move up to 183lb. where they would be competitve but would get beat by the top 5 maybe top 8 in that division, so there I disagree
