Matt Hamill was always an inspiration to me and I have all the respect in the world for him. After reading this it's only increased. There need to be more guys like him in MMA today.

This is really an awesome story. I met Matt Hamill at the weigh-ins for Ultimate Fight Night 13 and he seemed like a great guy. He stuck around for a long time after the weigh-ins were over and took pictures with anyone that wanted to. I'll be a fan of his for life.

I will always root for Matt hammill after I saw him beat the shit out of Bisping and getting robbed in the decision, I love the guy.

Great story! We as fans see a different light to MMA fighters, most see them as Barbaric and violent, but most of the time, MMA fighters and martial artists are calm and leveled headed, unless you tick them off (Forrest Griffin breaking down the door on TUF) but besides that point Matt Hamill is respectful in and out of the ring. It shows that fighters can make a difference in someone's life. Great Post once again!

You know there are so many people that deserve a pat on the back for this of course Matt for being a great role model and human being, your daughter for being brave desite her set backs, your buddy Tim, and man you deserve one yourself for simply being a great dad. This whole thing has brightened my day.
