David Loiseau talks about a UFC comeback and GSP fighting Hughes

David Loiseau talks about his desire to return to the UFC...would welcome a rematch with Rich Franklin or a shot at Anderson Silva.

"I’ve known about Anderson Silva since the year 2000. I saw him fight in Brazil. I’ve always said that this guy was a killer, but people would look past him. He got a couple of submission losses in Japan and people thought that he wasn’t that good. I always knew that he was a killer and that his standup was ahead of the game of anybody fighting right now. Everybody’s beatable. There’s no invincible fighter, you know. You could tell that just by looking at the upsets that have happened in the past. He’s a great fighter and I would love to fight him one day."

He also talks about his training partner, Georges St-Pierre, and his thoughts on GSP stepping in to face Matt Hughes in a rubbermatch at UFC 79.

"I’ve been training with Georges…we were both in New Mexico training with Rashad Evans for his fight. We were both there. Georges is actually like me. He never stops training. He just keeps training, you know? He’s in great shape. It may be short notice as far as strategy-wise, but conditioning, everything is good. Georges is in shape."

The Crow should be back, him and Silva would be a good stand-up battle.

Actually i've been watching David since his TKO days....his bread and butter was GNP. I think he thinks he can stand with Silva long enough to not get KTFO before he gets a takedown. On the ground he's very active and if he mounts you, you're in trouble. He's got great balance.

The Crow is an awesome fight, I was disapointed to see him let of the UFC and have that string of unfortunate fights. I would love to see him back in the UFC, as well as a rematch with Franklin & a fight with Anderson.

Thanks for the interview

I'm pissed I missed that fight.

Villasenor has a knack of making people look bad though. He's a dangerous counter striker who sits in the pocket waiting for you to make your move. Only he doesn't have Lidell's KO power so he usually grinds out a decision after dealing out a lot of punishment as well as taking a lot.

True that man. Ever since Franklin beat him down for five rounds and left that huge bubble on his dome he has kinda slowed it seems like. IMO his mental is what he needs to work on, because there is no doubt he is talented but he needs to believe he can do it again.

yeah that fight shocked me, I was like wtf is going on here.

and what's worse most of the people in that arena didn't know who he was so it hurt his ability to book more fights with that org.
