The guy is an idiot, an he obviously doesnt know shit about MMA, wich is a concept he doesnt understand, is like arguing with a 10 year old kid, useless....
He doesnt know what MMA is, and is obviously scared of the growing popularity of it.

That's kind of the UFC's and Spike TV's fault. They promote MMA as "Ulitmate Fighting" which I don't like because I'll ask a "UFC" fan who their favorite MMA fighter is and they'll say "what's MMA?". I explain it to them since it really isn't their fault since only some fighters in the UFC call it MMA, but it is promoted as Ultimate Fighting. One of the reasons I dislike the UFC. I really don't like the way they promote the sport.

He makes no good points in that article. Although at least he didnt call it cage fighting or no holds bar, cant stand those terms, MMA has its roots from wrestling, BJJ, Judo, Kick boxing, and so on. Once you excell at one of those sports you can think about mma, its much harder to become a MMA star than a boxing champion.

alot of boxers respect the UFC... alot of boxers couldn't survive in there...i mean... Mike Tyson vs. Arlovski, im going with Tyson. If syvlia and muhummad faught I'd go with muhummad... over all if your a hardcore boxers you may beat up on all the "good" strikers of the UFC... but the beauty of the UFC is once the guy realizes is he takes you down... and does stuff you don't know as a boxers and makes you weep with an americana or armbar

I feel bad for this guy man. Other more intelligent boxing fans enjoy both sports and understand that the two can co-exist. This guy reminds me of the pro-wrestling fan that was in all tears yelling "IT'S REAL TO ME DAMMIT!!"

I love Boxing and I know alot of History n such behind boxing. Ali could beat arlovski and so could Tyson but they would need to learn atleast TD defense or something to compete. Before long alot of boxers will assimilate to MMA. one good example is spencer fisher. Its just like a Muay Thai or a Dutch Kickboxer adapting to MMA except boxing is a huge money sport but MMA is quickly closing the gap. There is still excellent fighters and sweet science technicians in boxing that are every bit as intelligent or atheletic then UFC champions the only thing they lack is a ground game. Im quite sure that if Rich Franklin and Roy Jones Jr. went at it standing Roy would dominate but on the ground is a different story its all about adaption and thats what MMA so intriguing
