Mark Hunt doesn't take fighting seriously anymore. Why are people so jacked that Melvin beat Mark Hunt?

Your post is so wrong that I don't know where to begin. Ok, I'll make an attempt to point out what made me laugh.
First, this thread is about strikers/striking, so how is Melvin's ground game relevant? This thread has nothing to do with a fighter's complete MMA game, so that part of your post is invalid.
Second, last time I checked, Melvin is a striker, and he is exciting (unless you don't find brutal KO's from a K-1 level striker entertaining). All of his victories but 1 have come by KO. Hm...it seems that he fits the thread.
Third, "Why are people so jacked that Melvin beat Hunt?" Why were you so "jacked" when Mir TKO'd Nog? His KO over Nog wasn't anything flashy or devastating. The answer consists of these two factors:
1) Both have never been done before.
2) Manhoef has a lot of fans, so watching one of your favorite fighters do something that monsters like Jerome Le Banner and CroCop couldn't do is something exciting (much like you watching Mir do something that Fedor, Sapp, and others couldn't do vs. Nog). That is why everyone is so "jacked" that Manhoef KO'd Hunt.
Last, you mention that Hunt doesn't care about fighting anymore, so by that, you're implying that the KO isn't that impressive. Well, Nog didn't look to be in good physical condition in the Mir fight, so lets be fair and say Mir's KO was not that impressive. See how stupid that sounds? Give Manhoef the respect you want people to give Mir for KOing someone who has never been KO'd before.
The bottom line is that Manhoef is a striker, and he is exciting. If you don't feel he is a complete MMA fighter, that's fine; however, that's not what the thread is about, so save that crap for the "Manhoef will destroy Anderson" threads.
BTW, I find your mention of Anderson ironic considering that he has been subbed by lesser opponents than the ones who subbed Melvin.
Anyways, my vote goes to
Wand.
