Sorry if this has been posted before.
I know most posters on here hate the fact that the UFC doesn't allow non-exclusive contracts because it deprives us from some great match-ups and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't one of those who thought this way....BUT...what's the sense of having non-exclusive contracts if one organization is allowed to kill a fight in another org for their own financial benefit?
Nick Diaz was supposed to fight Mach on July 21st at Dream for the WW belt, and now EXC has forced him out of this fight so he can fight on the July 26th card against Noons for the LW belt. I'm not saying Diaz is outright complaining since he would have had to fight 5 days apart which I couldn't really see happening anyway, but that's not really the point, he signed a non-exclusive contract and all of a sudden he has no say in whether he can compete for a belt without EXC trumping him and pulling him from an event he was getting paid for.
So with something like this happening are you still for non-exclusive contracts? Is Dana still the devil for not allowing his fighters to compete outside of his organization? If this was the UFC pulling Diaz from a title fight in Dream would you react the same way?
