MMA GLOBALIZATION (random musings from some dude who doesn't post that much)

Chuck vs Wandy can usher in a new era of superfights and the like. The overall scene can turn into an undisputed type champion thing and that would be fuckin sweet(although I'm kinda pessimistic about the whole fight happening. Anyway I'd like to see everyones take on who the top few are in each weightclass in the world and the likely matches that could happen cross promotionally(not fantasy matches but like predictions if we keep going the way of Chuck/Wandy fights in the future)

EXAMPLE:
HW
Definetly Fedor right now. Cro Cop, Nogueria, Josh or Wandy can all give him a killer match and Im fuckin pumped for that, he will be coming back from an injury and anything can happen. Still I think he takes it and we hope for him vs Sylvia(even though I do like Munson as a nice darkhorse to beat him) somewhere down the road which will be a murder and see if father time takes over or he retires champ. The HW picture in pride is still pretty entertaining as this tournamnet has shown though so its not that bad. I just feel bad for Nog getting overshadowed

LHW
Obviously Chuck vs Wandy(if it happens) I was rooting for Babalau but I really think Chuck has this. Randy couldn't take him down in the 2nd two fights and hes different class than Babalau. Babalau has improved striking but Liddell really is the real deal and he will get fucked up. Even if he somehow takes him down Chuck can get back up or survive. Hopefully they'll fight and then go back and fight Tito/Arona/Nog and we can see some other cross promotionally battles between these folks and liek Shogun

MW
This OWGP is taking all the press away from the WWGP I see Henderson and Filho having a fuckin battle for this. I would wanna see the winner of that face the winner of Franklin, Silva somehow. BJ might want to get in on this but he would lose decisions. My prediction is Hendo. his oly weakness might be subs(which aren't even bad AT ALL) but his wrestling and boxing is nasty at 83

WW
kinda weird cuz its more ROTR and UFC here than Pride since they dont have one. Seriously Hughes vs GSP is all I need right now. Hopefully we see a match between BJ and Sak for shits sake and maybe BJ gets his shit together here or drop to LW

LW
Prides a fuckin mess cuz they all beat each other but i see Gomi rising outta that eventually. He just underestimated Marcus. Sherk could give the Pride LWs some decent matches in my opinion. Either way at any weight I wanna see BJ Gomi 2

sorry if thats alot to read. I just got back from a night out and am bored

Ok, I'm going to post this in your thread so I don't look like a compulsive n00b thread machine: if Dana White said that Liddell and Silva were fighting "for the belt", and he DID say that, does this not mean this will be a potential unification fight? And if that is true, then wouldn't that mean we could see all the classes unified? I'm wondering what the business arrangement here is going to be.

If I had to guess, I'd say the UFC is going to stake a claim in DSE and they will be touted as equal but opposite promotions; Pride will operate in Japan and the U.S., and they will try to cultivate their growing cross-cultural audience. Top Pride fighters will step into the cage to alert audience of their presence and top UFC fighters will fight in Pride promotions, probably mostly in Japan. What do you think?

P.S. Phil Baroni is confirmed to be fighting in the cage in November. Dave Menne is back in the UFC. Baroni vs. Menne 2??!?!?!?!?!?!

they have said that the UFC belt is on the line... the titles are unified only if wandy wins *from the look of things now*

and umm... menne lost to koscheck... do you really want him fighting baroni? speaking of baroni... who would you actually have him fight in the 185 division? not franklin, silva, or the winner of the crow/swick.
