Discovery Channel Show-Worlds Deadliest Job

Did a search and couldnt find anything already.Just noticed on advert on the UK for there prime set of shows they had a clip of an MMA fighter practicing in a cage. Apparently on there show the Wordls Deadliest Jobs the host trains with randy couture and steps in the cage to fight another amateur fighter. Maybe some good publicity for the UFC. The show should be on in the UK in the next week or so i believe dunno about the states

I dont see how it could be good publicity for the UFC being on a show called "Worlds Deadliest Jobs" considering they are trying to convince the general pop that it is safer than boxing.

Maybe I misunderstood what you were trying to say though.

True, but i guess it comes down to how it comes across on the show and what people such as Randy have to say

True. I'd say the deadliest job is a suicide bomber

The worlds deadliest job is a sport where no one has ever died (save for Douglas Dedge, and we all know that was under different circumstances).

That is ridiculous

ive seen the worlds deadliest jobs and dont understand how they can use mma. anything else he has done has basically been a do this and this when you have done that you have to do this and he masters it in literally a week or 2 how can he take part and be taught mma in under 2 weeks?

I saw it a while back. THe shows title isn't really fitting for the content. The guy just does all these jobs that people "could" die doing.

Randy had a good line The guy asked him if he ever got nervous. Randy responded with something like. No, nervous implies something bad might happen. I like what I do.

They're idiots for doing this, discovery channel? The discovery channel needs to discover some statistics and common sense. And anyone who thinks this is good publicity for MMA is a TUF NUB.

Unless the host plans on getting kicked in the head by Cro Cop til death with no ref stoppage I dont see why the hell MMA should be on World's Deadliest Jobs. Even if Randy paints mma in a positive light I think the very fact it's being shown on a show like this sends the wrong message.
