The Mischaracterizing Tim Olympics
Seriously do you people just get up in the morning read or listen to Tim Sylvia interviews and spend hours poring over them to come up with slivers that can be taken out of context to feed your anti-Sylvia prejudice.
There are now dozens of threads about Tim calling Fedor "a little shit" but as one poster astutely noted if Fedor called Tim "a big motherfucker" there wouldnt be one. It was clear from the context of that and from the interview today on Beatdown that Tim holds Fedor in high esteem.
That was bad enough but now there is a thread about Tim calling Tito out.
There is a lot to criticize about Tim if thats what you want to do without making things up

Yea he also said "I can't say I'm better than Fedor," and "I need to fine tune some skills and have a few more fights"

I forgot to mention the criticism Tim gets for insisting that the World HW title be the main event rather than a match between the no.1 LHW contender and a washed up fighter with no real chance of winning.

fact of the matter is Tim did say that about Fedor, and Fedor has not, and probably never will, say anything near that level about another fighter. And even if Fedor did, it would be different because he is a different level of fighter than Tim. If anyone should be able to trash talk, it is Fedor.

I honestly don't know what's more sickening,
the Sylvia haters or the Fedor Huggers....

Don't forget that the Sherdoggers salivated when Le Banner called out Tim Sylvia and implied that he was a second-rate striker, but when Sylvia said he wanted to fight Nogueira and Filipovic, the Sylvia-bashing escalated to new levels.
There's a double standard when it comes to Sylvia, and the people who employ it prove that they're useless to the mixed martial arts world, and useless to Sherdog.net.

If Tim were as big a knob as most here think then why would he hold back tears when winning the title or defending it? Seriously, the guy values what it takes to win a title. If he were as cocky as most of you think he'd just expect to win and not bat an eye at having Dana wrap that belt around his waist. He's a good guy who loves fighting. Attitude? Are you frickin kidding me? ALL of these fighters have an attitude. They have to. You're stepping in to do battle with someone you better bring a big chip on your shoulder.
Back off Sylvia, he's a good fighter and an even better guy.
