while i applaud your attempt at bringing up a new point w/o argument, i must point out that his decisions include Horn, Hendo, Herring, TK, Ricco, and Fedor.
not a who's who of "very good bjj guys". most of these guys are folks who know
what to do on the ground while at the same time
dominate while standing. that's why Nog has tried to improve his standing for the last 3-5 years.
Mir doesn't try to "hold his own" on the ground; he goes for shit. it should be fun. so, i kind of agree with you that Mir
might bring something to the table that no one has been able to against Nog, i wish him the best and don't expect it
as someone else said besides me, i expect Nog to just keep it standing and bloody/soften Mir up for a couple of rounds before ending it on the ground. and i think he'll end it with strikes, not a sub.
