A welterweight contest between Mike Swick and Martin Kampmann is likely for UFC 103, MMAWeekly.com has learned from sources close to the fight.

While bout agreements have not been signed, both parties have agreed to the match-up.

UFC 103 is expected to take place on Sept. 19 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, the promotion’s second trip to the Lone Star State. The event has yet to be announced by the UFC.

WTF? I thought Swick was facing Hughes?

Mike swick by TKO. Mike swick gonna show what hes made of hes the most underrated fighter in the UFC. He will be good in the future and a contender often.

I'm going to that show too.. I was hoping it was Hughes.. but i'll take Kampman. I'm nervous about how that card's shaping up.. it will be my first ufc event and i really hope it'll be a great card.

swick would destroy hughes...& hughes only wants 'Big' fights (GSP/Alves)
this is a good match up IMO, possibly deciding who the next no 1 contender is at 170

For whatever reason, Swick said they weren't able to get the fight done so he took Kampmann instead.

This is going to be a war, very good matchup and I dont think Swick by 1st round TKO, u crazy. Whoever wins this fight probably does move up to #3 behind GSP and Fitch.

You guys think they'll give the winner of this the title shot? I think Swick has the perfect style and training partners to give GSP the toughest fight of his life... if Alves doesn't cave his face in of course.
