Wow, that farce of a debate was utterly full of shit!!!! Each took turns at bashing Tim and AA every chance they could. Now I understand that some of the mods here are on Pride's Payrole (this is a fact) but the so-called journalists too - just horrible!

...read the article people. If any of you have a shred of objectivity, you will see that besides fedor and Nog, AA and Tim have records and wins over contenders just as strong as any other HWs in Pride. Savage and Sloan might as well reveal their true Japanese names and announce their blind allegiance to the yakuza.

well, thanks I guess. I just call it like I see it. Sergei, Alex, yoshida, Werdum are great fighters but they are just as unproven...even more so then Tim and AA. CC is only sightly better due to the amount of times he fought but he is still winless against A-caliber HWs like fedor and nog and has some serious losses to fighters he should have never lost to in a MMA ring.

I'm not going to stay silent regarding this hypocracy...if I get banned, whatever

I agree with most parts of your statement.

PRIDE would love too have Tim Sylvia or Andrei Arlovski. Just because their in the UFC, they get hated. And called "Overrated" by so-called "hardcore" fans. The amount of disrespect is amazing.

That is an incorrect. Cro Cop has beaten Josh Barnette. And that's probably his best win today. And by many accounts. Josh is a A-level Heavyweight

seriously, I know this is a losing argument...but I really dont care. I, like you, see the truth and objectivity in fighters and organizations and dont get caught up in glam, glits, pyrotechnics, attendence numbers, international flare, etc. I see fighters and I see fights. Thats all that needs to be looked at. Sloan and Savage must see something else.

buddy, you need to look at the big picture.

josh has been fighting sub-par mma fighters in Pancrase and doing pro-wrestling for years since leaving the UFC as a result of the steroid issue. Barnett is akin to Rizzo in the fact that both have serious ring-rust as compared to serious mma athletes. It took Barnett to fight a fighter in a weight class (or 2) below him to finally get a win and Rizzo has lost badly just recently to a fighter that has no business fighting in an event higher than KOTC or in some underground russian club...but just like alex, he got a shot in pride for no other reason than b/c he is affiliated w. fedor

Well I won't disagree with you Dave, but I think the reality is something much simpler. Sloan and Savage's debates just suck. They were so un-journalistic as you imply I haven't bothered to read them since I think the second one they did.

Ahhh...this coming from Ms. Objectivity herself. I found the article pretty dead on and unbiased, I'm sure any non-partisan person would agree.
