Met Matt Hughes last Sunday!!!
So, I met Matt Hughes when he came to Winnipeg to sign autographs at the World of Wheels... the line was crazy long and me and my girl waited at least 45 minutes to get our autographs and pictures taken.. here is a transcript of what happened...

*my girl gets her picture/autograph with Matt*
i walk up and shake his hand
MATT: "is she your sister? girlfriend?"
ME: "Girlfriend"
MATT: "Oh, what nationality are you?"
ME: "filipino"
*Matt looks interested and goes to sign my picture that I had to pay $5 for.*
ME: "So, you gonna kick those PRIDE guys' asses or what?"
*Matt laughs and smiles,*
MATT: "haha.. I don't know what they're doing with that yet."

after that, me, my girl and Matt took one more picture together.. so, all in all, matt is a pretty down to earth guy.. i always thought he was a jerk because of the way he was portrayed in TUF4.. he pretty much always had a smile on his face and he took the time out to talk to every fan...

Good story.

It's weird, I hear more bad stories about meeting Matt Hughes than I do good stories. Jeckyl and Hyde I guess.

Maybe it was just cause you had your girl with you.

Its tough to gauge his real attitude from an autograph signing. Its funny about what he said regarding PRIDE. I wonder if the fighters have been instructed to not comment to the public about it. I wonder what he would've said if it was your sister..."Can I LNP her?"

typical ask a canadian what nationality they are and they answer with anything but the county they were born in.
