Matt Hughes

What's next for Hughes? Are they really waiting to match him up with Serra? That is a long lay off if he's coming back.

I think it's Serra then retirement.
Plus, UFC has their new Hughes, less talented, but the new powerhouse wrestler in the WW division is Fitch.

I'm afraid of that. That's a long time to wait to fight. But I do want to see Serra/Hughes. They should almost give Hughes a can to keep him busy in the meantime. I'd like to see him fight this Summer, but I can't see him fighting Serra until August at the absolute earliest.

He will get a tune up fight before he fights Serra, If and I mean if Serra wins we may not get to see them fight at all though.

Well I think Serra/Hughes has to happen. If Hughes sticks around longer, any of those would be good fights. None of them are available right now.

Why? Serra was supposed to fight Hughes when he was champ before. I think the fight happens win or lose. It's a matter of when. I don't see Hughes getting a tune-up unless it happens soon...June or July.

+1.

But if Serra wins next month, I doubt Hughes would fight him next. UFC has already marketed Hughes to fight Serra, but too many other contenders have been waiting.

That would be a logical way to go; a big payday fight (and likely win) followed by retirement.
