There seems to be a ton of people who makes claims about Matt Hamil.

Recently I've been suprised at several statements such as:
-Matt could beat Liddell
-Matt is a better wrestler than Randy Couture
-Matt will be the next LHW champ

I'm sure he's a nice guy and such, sure he wasn't treated with alot of respect during TUF3 and he seemed go hard in practice and so on.
After he had his win over Jesse Forbes everyone went crazy about Matt and clamin that he's a contender for the 205 title.. All I have to say is: you guys are either on heavy narcotics or simply you've been hit in the head one too many times.
Matt bein better than Randy who is one of the most decorated fighters in UFC history, sure nobody knows how they would do in a wrestlingmatch against one another. But this is MMA, Matt would get ground and pounded. Not to critizise or put him down, I admire Matt for going into MMA and being deaf. But how is he going to defend off a guy like Chuck when he can't hear his corner and obviously has a weak chin. If you get rocked that bad by a uppercut and goes into a 13-hour wake coma (like he claimed he did) from being hit by a 5'7 guy.. how is he going to take one clean crisp hook from Chuck? And Matt could not dirty box Chuck like Randy did, no way. He still looked sloppy against Forbes imo.
I sure hope that Matt doesn't believe in Titos talk about being world champ, cause Matt will probably get his head smashed in, in the process of trying to become champ.

Does anyone else buy in on this horrible hype? I won't say anything bad about Tito like several other people has, about being a flamer or feminine or something. But what is he up to?! just a few months he was talking about his nuts being more famous than a TUF1 guy, and now he's training with a camp full of them? contrediction key key key..

This is crazy.. TUF is soley responsible for ruining the MMA scene in the US. KOTC, WEC, ROTR, PRIDE, HEROS doesn't come off in the same way..

What has happend?! there were fights before UFC59 you know, all of a sudden veterans and legends are disrespected by these new fans.. It's sad!

The statement of Hamill being a better wrestler than Randy is, well, based on the fact that he's a more decorated, and thus more highly regarded wrestler than Randy. As we can recall, Couture was the first guy who really took Chuck down and pounded him. I agree that Hamill is nowhere near that level yet, but give him time. One day he may very well be the LHW champ, but this is years away.

poster above is right, i wouldnt go there just yet but you can make a case for matt being a better wrestler based on what he has accomplished, but it would be prolly smarter to wait and see if he was still planing to try out for the olympic team, or continue at any national events... and so what, this site is full of idiots who say all sorts of shit, so does this really surprise you? is it really worth starting a rant of a tread of nothing but bitchin?

think if everybody started a thread when they came across a stupid opinion on sherdog...
