MMA is getting more exposure than you think. Look at Mtv's Final Fu. Sure it's a piece of shit show with piece of shit competitions, but sooner or later that MASSIVE Mtv audience is going to say "Screw this crap show us some real fighting". Then we'll see an "I want to be an MMA fighter" on MADE.

I was just bitching to my wife about this (fellow MMA junkie...at that..) on espn2, I've seen no MMA, but have seen the following shitty ass sports.
Golf
Darts
Dominoes
Eating
NASCAR
FKN POKER
fishing

I'm beginning to think that these guys are in fact going to cover tyson jacking off in madison square garden next.....it's a sports network m'fkers, at least PUT SPORTS on for Christ sake. Something that requires physical effort, coordination, competition via MANPOWER and for fk sake some type of exertion on the part of the participant.
All of the above mentioned are to me, either NOT sports or the most BORING ass types of things to watch on TV. Espn should, assuming they haven't been blackballed in some way by fox sports and spike, be chastised all to hell about some of their programming choices..

Fkrs...

^ Just for effect...

espn = abc = disney
so until mma gets past the bloodsport image the public has of it dont expect espn to do much with it.

fsn is willing to cover things espn wont just to get ratings. they are just now getting their feet wet with ifl and pride shows. they are making a move on it and fast considering they get to broadcast the next bushido.

as far a news show weekly is pushing it. bi-weekly would be more likely (giving a couple weeks time for a few events to take place). mopnthly would be the best perhaps. hour long highlight show of the last months actioon with some short interviews with big winners and such. and if it is indeed fsn then you know they will replay the hell out of it for a month

Remember everyone, UFC made the official announcement for Hughes/GSP II on ESPN and then Bas Rutten tried to sell the WFA event.

What I would like to see is show that airs daily or weekly that talks about the current events in MMA for big orgs and smaller orgs. That interviews athetes and other promoters. Tito was supposed to doing a sports show or segment for a show during his holdout. With Randy and Bas doing TV, they would be terrific hosts or Jay Glazer. (The guy on PRIDE's FSN shows)

you all know a lot about these shows that suck. here is a good idea. quit watchin so much tv, get out of your moms basement, and go outside. get a hobby. find a girlfriend. nobody says you have to watch this garbage.
