That's slick but extremely weak. It's useless anyway.

mmm nice but don't think you can throw it with huge power, i would love to see a fighter doing this being countered by a strait right or an elbow in the face and then get KO'd, but if somebody can pull it off with some effect (not just a slap) in a MMA fight i will clap.

I think my fav Machida win has to be the one against Sokodjou. Not b/c he finished him, but b/c he pretty much put on an all around clinic vs a guy w/ a TON of hype behind him who many thought would steamroll Machida.

SOK GOT OWNED!!!

Hearing/seeing people talk about Machida (negatively) frustrates me to no end. There would be NO DOUBT of Machida's skills if he was KOin' folks left and right.

I think a lot of people confuse legitimate striker w/ Knock Out Artist sometimes. A lot of times you will have somebody who is both.

(Like Anderson Silva). But more times than not, you'll have one or the other. Machida is a legit striker. I think we need to quit expecting that man to turn into a KO artist and just appreciate the type of skill and mental toughness (patience) that his style of fighting requires.

He is perfectly content with waiting for his opponent to show that one opening, make that one mistake, then BOOM he exploits it.

If anybody has read the Art of War, then they would know that this is the true way of the intelligent warrior.

The most beautiful part of it all, is that he makes moves where most of us don't even realize (or notice) the opening. But he does, and that's when the other guy gets hit.

He's not the most exciting fighter, but I definately enjoy watching him fight. I'm always wondering what he's going to do next.

METHODICALLY WAR MACHIDA!!!!!!

Don't discount it entirely. You might be surprised at how hard that kick can hit, especially when combined with the opponent's motion.

I assume the point of it is to catch the opponent off guard, and to land the 2nd kick with more power - still, I agree... looks like you'd leave yourself open while trying that little maneuver. Better be quick if you're going to do that!

So basically the tops guys are going to wait for him to make a mistake or expose something w/ his stand-up ina fight before they decide its time to fight him. B/C WE ALL KNOW THAT CHUCK ISN'T SUBBING ANYBODY ANYTIME SOON!
