Machida vs. Action
If Machida is a sherdogger (i know he most likely isn't), he's probably wishing for a return to "who is ryoto?" era. That's because he would have appreciated the mystique of being the unknown, undefeated fighter that had beaten the likes of penn, bonnar, and franklin, to the current wave of "he's technical, but boring". I know I certainly would have enjoyed being the "Noob Saibat" of MMA.
Anyways, I can appreciate watching MMA for the action. I can see that appeal, obviously. But it certainly isn't the most interesting- otherwise, I would watch kung fu movies, dragonball z, rocky, and pro wrestling. The greatest appeal to MMA is the realism, and seeing which techniques are superior, and who can implement them in the most effective manner. So in my mind, Machida should be one of the MOST interesting fighters to watch, because he's someone yet to be figured out. He's fought solid strikers, wrestlers, and BJJ practitioners. Everytime he fights, it's like watching another piece to the riddle of "what is machida's weakness".
Anyways, I just woke up not too long ago, so if I came off as ranting, fuck you.

said it before and I'll say it again...I pay $$$ to see action.
I'm not some MMA purist, I don't practice in a gym with traditional martial artists. I'm a screaming fan in the arena who wants to see a good fight, not a points match.
No apollogies.

It's very simple, don't pay to watch him fight, your dollar is the ultimate decision maker. No apologies needed, take your money somewhere else or abstain from buying cards that he is on.

i love kung fu movies and DBZ. I guess that's why Machida's style doesn't really appeal to me.

I enjoy watching him fight, much more so than a lot of fighters labeled as " exciting ". I could really care less about those who think little of Machida have to say, honestly. It's kinda getting boring as a topic to discuss whether or not he's exciting, or whatever. Can't wait until his fight with Thiago so there can be some new discussion.
