Until he faces a strong wrestler who knows what is doing in a cage, I'm not ready to put Machida over just yet. I learned my lesson from Houston Alexander and Sioku. Tito has a much better chance that people want to admit. MAchida has not been tested yet. We'll see. We will see how Machida reacxts if Tito takes him down and delivers elbows. T

I think Tito has a serious chance against Machida.

I love Machida but until i see him against a really good top 5 LHW then i can't make up a serious opinion on him.

I actually agree. He has wins over BJ (out of his weightclass) Franklin (out of his weightclass) Nakamura (sometimes fights at 185) and one big win over Soko (who only has 6 pro fights)

People are overrating him too much, he's a good fighter but we don't know how good yet.

i dont think he is overated or underated....he is working his way through the lhw division slowly but surely....i predict his next fight will be against a real contender...then after that a title shot...but i wouldnt call him overated....ever.

He has yet to fight someone who is experienced and top level let him fight chuck or tito and he will lose

I don't think Machida is overrated. I think he'll walk through the 205 division, win the belt, and retain it for as long as he likes.

Machida is Sherdog's flavour of the month for sure. He's doing well, but yeah, the love he gets got pretty crazy in the space of about a month. Good for him I guess, and good for his fans too I suppose, that's what it's all about. Making stars and supporting stars. No shame in being a mark for a fighter, that's the fun of MMA. I do think people should can it with their 'official' and 'legitimate' and 'well thought out' lists of 'top fighters' which include him though (or anyone else for that matter, but especially Machida right now). You can enjoy a guy without having to justify your fandom with a stupid rankings list.

I kind of hope Machida keeps being sucessful though because God knows UFC needs more over guys who actually fight differently from one another.
